Since the resurrection of our Society in 2018, we have appreciated and relied upon the ongoing support of you, our members, to make our work possible. And today, more than ever, we greatly appreciate your continued support.

Now that the 2024 holiday season is upon us, we kindly ask that you renew your Geothermal Canada membership for 2025. While our organization is run on a volunteer basis, there are expenses involved in our operations such as awarding scholarships, paying event and website costs, and other dues. The continued membership renewals of people like you is what continues to make all of this possible.

2024 was another strong year for geothermal energy development in our country, and all indications are that 2025 will be an even stronger one. With the continued advancements being made by Eavor on their ongoing project, announcements of government funding for the Alberta Drilling Accelerator (ADA) and a new project led by the Acho Dene Koe First Nation, the continuation of existing projects, and exciting new partnerships (1) (2), the future is bright for Canadian geothermal development.

Geothermal Canada highlights from the past year include:

in celebration of our 50th anniversary, hosting of many technical sessions and talks during GeoConvention 2024,
awarding of 2 student scholarships,
continuation of monthly live lecture webinar series, available to the public on a pay-to-view basis; freely available to members (also recorded and saved for member on-demand viewing),
continuing to keep our website up to date with the latest geothermal news and upcoming geothermal events and conferences.
