Clean Energy BC Lunch + Learn:
Postponed to Jun 9, 2020

This lunch and learn about Canada's geothermal future has been postponed tentatively to June 9, 2020. Organizers will be updating the new schedule soon.

WGC2020: Postponed to May 21-26, 2021

WGC organizers have stated:

"We will strive towards ensuring the Congress program will have only minimal revisions and all the speakers will retain their already allocated slots and all the sponsors and exhibitors will maintain their chosen locations in Harpa and all non-technical events will maintain their designated times and venues."

GeoConvention 2020: Postponed to
Aug. 31- Sept. 2, 2020

New dates have been confirmed with all sessions and presentations to be carried over. Instructions have been sent to authors/presenters.

Joint GRC-SPE Workshop on High Temperature Well Cementing: Postponed to Sept. 14-16, 2020

After careful consideration, and with great sadness, the GRC and SPE have made the decision to reschedule the Joint GRC/SPE High-Temperature Well Cementing Workshop, from its original schedule on March 30 – April 1, 2020.

The new meeting dates are Monday September 14th to Wednesday 16th, 2020. The venue in San Diego has not changed.

All registration fees and sponsorships will be transferred to the rescheduled workshop dates. 

Hotel: The Wyndham will cancel all existing reservations in our room block for March/April dates and will send us a new booking link for room reservations for the September dates next week.

The 7th International Meeting on Heat Flow and the Geothermal Field in Potsdam, Germany has been postponed to from May 2020 to May 2021.

Clean Technology Targeted Regulatory Review Engagement Session

NRCan's Clean Technology Targeted Regulatory Review engagement session took place February 12, 2020, in Vancouver, BC.
 
The session provided NRCan with valuable insights regarding the ways in which the federal government can address regulatory barriers and support clean technology innovation and competitiveness. 
 
NRCan will be sharing the proposals that participants provided provided with other lead departments across the federal government so that additional analysis can be undertaken. For proposals that are determined to be within the scope of the review, a course of action will be outlined in the Regulatory Roadmap for Clean Technology, which will be published in Fall 2020/Winter 2021.
