This year, the GRC annual conference will be held as the GRC Virtual Annual Meeting and Expo. Please see below for the announcement from the GRC. Also, please note that final paper revisions are due on July 10, 2020.
“As GRC continues to trailblaze, modernize and revitalize our place within the geothermal industry, it is with great excitement that we announce an all-new, fully-virtual experience for GRC’s 2020 Annual Meeting & Expo. The meeting will take place October 18 – 23, 2020 in an online and on-demand format that brings together people from all aspects of the geothermal industry.
This new virtual platform will allow attendees from around the globe to access the meeting’s program of activities and content, and network with other attendees and companies online from their home or office. Combined with our other activities that will all go digital including the Opening Reception, Plenary Session, Panel Sessions, Fieldtrips (yes!), Workshops, Networking Reception and Expo, this year's Technical Program contains a wide array of technical papers that will also be presented in a virtual format.
Advantages of a virtual meeting include:
all content available to an attendee – no missing of presentations in parallel sessions or from scheduling conflicts;
content available 24/7 – giving accessibility around the globe in all time zones;
Expo Hall accessible to people who would not normally be able to drop in – like your CEO or a hard-to-pin-down customer;
no travel needed – access the meeting from your home or office and save on travel costs and exhibition infrastructure expenses;
a schedule not restricted to three days – live sessions and Q&A will be conveniently spread out over six days; and,
recorded content available to registered attendees – access recorded presentaitons for months after the live event.”
