World Geothermal Congress 2023: Call for Abstracts

The World Geothermal Congress is the premier global geothermal event scheduled every three years and has the purpose to convene the leaders of industry, academia, finance sector, governments, NGO’s and communities to collaborate and provide thoughtful solutions for a sustainable society.

In 2023, the World Geothermal Congress is scheduled to take place in Beijing, China from April 17 to 21.

The Call for Abstracts is now OPEN. More information on the Call for Abstracts can be found here. The abstract handling system will be online after January 17, via www.wgc2023.com, the notification on the opening of the Abstract submission system will be send out January 16, 2022.

The deadline for Abstract submission is March 31, 2022.

The Technical Committee consists of 26 members.

WGC2020 saw 2800 abstracts submitted and in the end 2000 papers were presented both online and onsite. According to the Chinese Hosts (the Chinese Geothermal Association, Sinopec and Arctic Green) the WGC2023 will attract similar amounts of abstracts/papers, likely even more given the vast interest in the Asia Pacific Community for contributing to the Conference in their region.
