The aim of this short-term, contract project is to make the Resources pages on the Geothermal Canada website more user-friendly and accessible to the public. Geothermal Canada’s mission is to educate and increase knowledge about the geothermal industry in Canada. By setting up a logical and user-friendly structure to host resources on the website for the existing and new content, we hope to ultimately provide better content and more engagement from industry.
Based on the result of the initial project, the contract may be extended to include monthly website updates, approximately 2-6 hours per month.

Reports to: Board of Direction, Geothermal Canada
Timeline: January-March 2024
Major Responsibilities and Essential Duties:
Website research content:
Research best structure for organizing content – website hosted, ResearchGate, or other
Re-structure resources into several pages (GC board guided)
a). Geothermal Canada Content
b). Student Research
c). Canadian Geothermal Basics
Compile recent research, filter existing research and add to content that fits with the above categories (GC board guided).
Divide ‘Geothermal Basics’ resources into most appropriate categories based on content rather than media type. (GC board guided) Possible categories include:
a). Project-based
b). Geothermal type (deep electricity production, direct use, co-production, geo-exchange)
c). Regional
Other website updates:
Organize and integrate the events (past and present) into the resources.
Teach and hand-over to Geothermal Canada board.
