Novus Earth Energy is excited to announce a strategic partnership with Freshbay Inc to incorporate the use of geothermal heat in the 19-acre greenhouse development the company has proposed for the Hinton area.
“Our vision has always been maximizing the use of the geothermal heat and power we generate, and this allows for the advancement of sustainable food production with a company that has essential experience and expertise,” stated Novus Earth President, Jeff Messner. “We are finalizing the Freshbay project addition to the scope of the Novus Earth Energy Latitude 53 Project and will be holding a public open house in early spring to share more with residents and businesses in the region.”
Progress on the Latitude 53 Project is underway, with exploratory well drilling to be completed in Q2/Q3 2023, and commercial well completion toward the end of the year. Incorporating the sale of thermal heat to companies like Freshbay as the organic rankine cycle geothermal power project component is constructed will ensure the immediate and effective use of the resource, and support economic development and attraction in the region.
