Jaimie Sokalski, E.I.T.
Jaimie Sokalski is an Asset Management & Climate Analyst and Climate Change Advisor with Associated Engineering’s Strategic Advisory Services Group in Vancouver. She has 5 years of experience providing clients with advisory services across a variety of service areas. In her role, Jaimie provides clients with climate mitigation, adaptation, and resilience assessments, ranging from greenhouse gas quantification to climate risk assessments across asset portfolios. She obtained a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering, specializing in Energy and the Environment, from the University of Calgary in 2017.
Ruben Arellano, P.Eng.
Ruben Arellano is a Low Carbon Energy Technical Specialist with Associated Engineering. While he is based in their Vancouver office, he works with Associated’s offices across Canada to serve a wide variety of clients and sectors. He is a Professional Engineer with over 20 years of experience in a wide range of areas including geoexchange, geothermal, biomass, waste water heat recovery, and district energy. Ruben has a passion for earth energy systems. He is the longest-serving Board Member and past Chair of Geoexchange BC, and has been involved with various geothermal and geoexchange related industry associations across North America. He obtained a B.A.Sc. in Geological Engineering from UBC in 1998.
Daryl S Brown, P.Eng, ENV SP
Daryl Brown is a Senior Project Manager with Associated Engineering and is located in the Regina office. Daryl has more than 30 years of experience in the construction, design and management of civil, earthworks, sustainability and municipal projects. He provides technical expertise and leadership in municipal infrastructure, specializing in land development, stormwater management, and sustainable design. Daryl spent 4 years as the Saskatchewan Quality Manager an is passionate about quality services.
As a certified Envision® Specialist, Daryl’s expertise in sustainable design principles Daryl incorporates these principles where appropriate. He is known for his innovation and strategic decision-making to deliver complex projects.
Daryl is a local Climate Change Advisor (CCA) and is familiar with the climate risk consideration of our various practices, has comprehension of our "Consistent Approach" and its application (directly or using underlying principles) to both project pursuit and execution, and is aware of our our internal Climate Science and Climate Science & Modelling Subject Matter Experts (CS&M SMEs) and their capabilities.
